About the client:
We are looking to recruit a Telemetry Engineer to join our team on a permanent basis. As a Telemetry Engineer in the Customer Engineering team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers’ telemetry systems are functioning correctly. Your primary responsibilities will include installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting telemetry systems in the field.

The Telemetry Engineer Role:

  • Installing and maintaining telemetry units on our bulk tanks and assets at customer sites
  • Activating and checking devices using an app on a smartphone/tablet
  • Conducting risk assessments
  • Performing tank exchange and tank switcher surveys
  • Carrying out basic non-gas repair work
  • Assisting gas engineers when required
  • Traveling to meet customer service standards for our largely rural customer base (van and fuel provided)
  • Full industry-specific training and support will be provided

Telemetry Engineer – Essential Skills:

  • Experience in face-to-face customer interactions with excellent customer care
  • Relevant experience is useful; understanding of LPG and bulk LPG tank installation and maintenance is a plus
  • Multiskilled and knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards, including Health and Safety awareness
  • Ability to follow procedures and instructions
  • Full UK driving license is essential
  • Excellent customer service skills, with patience and attentiveness to customer needs
  • Good listening skills and ability to build rapport quickly
  • Ability to monitor quality and reject sub-standard work
