Terminal Engineer Responsibilities:

  • Leading and implementing engineering projects.
  • Enhancing business performance through engineering technology.
  • Developing specialist engineering knowledge.
  • Contributing to the development of Specifications and Departmental Bulletins.
  • Providing engineering and technical support using evidence-based problem-solving.
  • Designing and developing engineering solutions and communicating these to local teams.
  • Managing project scope and specifications with stakeholders, ensuring solutions meet business needs.
  • Coordinating design and review activities and developing costed proposals.
  • Supervising contractors, consultants, and suppliers, managing operational changes, and ensuring compliance with expenditure control.

Terminal Engineer Essential Skills:

  • Thorough knowledge and application of Engineering Principles andamp; Safety Management Systems.
  • Professional Mechanical, Electrical, or Process Engineering qualification (min. Degree/HND).
  • Experience in project engineering and management through all phases.
  • Contractor management experience.
  • Cost management budgeting and control.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with high-hazard process plants.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety and relevant industry and European/British Standards, including Pressurized Equipment, Vessels, Piping, Rotating Machinery, Fire Protection, Steam Systems, HV/LV Power, Instrumentation andamp; Control, ATEX/DSEAR, Earthing, and Lightning Protection.
  • IT System competencies (minimum MS Office).
